Following is some information regarding water usage and the Warren Water District we think you will find interesting!
- When you reduce your water usage, you also save on your gas and electric bill!
- Shorten your shower by a minute or two and you’ll save up to 150 gallons per person per month!
- Is it possible your toilet has a secret leak? You can test it by putting 10 drops of food coloring in the tank. Don’t flush for 15 minutes. If the colored water shows up in the bowl, the tank is leaking.
- A dripping faucet can waste 3 gallons of water a day.
- Rural water provides you with a clean, safe dependable supply of water every day. Just 7 cents will buy you approximately five gallons of water from the Warren Water District!
- The District uses an automated phone system to notify customers of outages, emergencies, etc, please verify your phone number with the office so that we are able to contact you!
- The District owns the water service line from the main up to and including the meter pit. The service line after the meter pit is the property owner’s responsibility to repair and keep leak-free.

- The District disinfects with Chloramines. Chloramination is a method of disinfection that combines chlorine with ammonia in a carefully controlled ratio to form a disinfectant called chloramines. https://www.epa.gov/dwreginfo/chloramines-drinking-water
- The average person uses 1500 gallons of water a month.
